Liposomal B12 Folate

Support for Healthy Nervous System Function and Cardiovascular Health Liposomal B12 Folate is a unique formula that contains bioactive, patented forms of vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) and Folic acid (as Quatrefolic®) for supporting cardiovascular and nervous system function. Quatrefolic® is a new generation of folic acid that is in a reduced and methylated form, thereby bypassing the need for enzymes to convert the vitamin to a biologically-active state. Folic acid is vital for nearly every physiological reaction in the body that involves a one-carbon transfer. Unfortunately, folic acid found in food and many dietary supplements needs to go through several enzymatic conversions to be converted to its bioactive form called L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF). Quatrefolic® found in Liposomal B12 Folate contains 5-MTHF for supporting normal folate status, regardless of whether you lack the necessary enzymes to properly utilise folic acid. Folic acid works in conjunction with vitamin B12 to promote healthy DNA, as well as synthesise haemoglobin – a protein found in red blood cells that transports oxygen and carbon dioxide. Vitamin B12/cobalamin plays a key role throughout the nervous system. Along with folic acid, vitamin B12 works to create DNA and is involved in metabolism of all the amino acids synthesised in the body. Vitamin B12 is also integral for supporting mood and cognition, as deficiencies can alter neurotransmitter production.

Methyl Support

Bioactive L-5-MTHF for Supporting Healthy Folate Level NutriDyn Methyl Support is a unique formula that contains the biologically active, methylated form of folate called L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF). Many B vitamin supplements contain folic acid, which requires additional metabolism and enzymes before it is readily utilised by your body. Biofolate® found in Methyl Pro provides pure calcium L-5-MTHF for supporting healthy folate status, regardless if you lack the necessary enzymes to properly utilise folic acid. Research suggests that folate can support cardiovascular health by effectively promoting healthy homocysteine levels. L-5-MTHF is the preferred form of supplemental vitamin B9 for many people as there are a number of common polymorphisms of folate metabolism, which can lead to imperfections in critical biosynthetic pathways (and ultimately, health complications).
